The one day event at CBD (Conference of Parties)COP 14 will seek to answer the question, how can these ocean voices help us to chart the path to the future we want? This special gathering, being convened by the CBD Secretariat, with financial support from the Government of the Republic of Korea, the Government of Sweden, the European Union, and the French Biodiversity Agency, will provide a forum for the voices of the ocean. Stakeholders and partners from across the globe will be invited to bring these voices to COP 14. They will use innovative means (e.g., inspirational story-telling, dialogues, film, poetry, performance, music, visual art) to tell these stories. ICSF shall be talking about the importance of Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) and the SSF Guidelines for securing sustainable SSF. Costa Rican Marine Responsible Fishing Areas Network shall be participating in Oceans Peoples of the Future.
