The Department of Fisheries (DoF) of the Government of India is organizing a National Webinar on the “WTO Fisheries Subsidies Agreement”, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, 21 October 2022, from 11:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs IST.
The webinar is part of the government’s nationwide campaign to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence. The DoF aims to showcase the development in the country’s fisheries sector and highlight its contribution towards national goals.
The webinar is expected to see the participation of fishers, fish farmers, co-operative societies and other fisheries stakeholders, alongside officials of the various Departments and Institutes associated with the fisheries sector.
