Rambhau Patil (R K Patil), veteran Indian fisher leader and social activist, former Chairperson of the National Fishworkers’ Forum (NFF), former President of the Maharashtra Macchimar Kruti Samiti (MMKS) and former Coordinating Committee Member of the World Forum of Fisher Peoples (WFFP), passed away at 9 p.m. on 29 July 2018 in Maharashtra, India.
In a statement, Narendra Patil, Chairperson of NFF, and T Peter, General Secretary of NFF, said that Patil’s death was a great loss to the fishing community at large and the NFF family, in particular.
