Heavy to very heavy rain, with extremely heavy rain, is very likely to occur at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh during next 24 hours, predicted the Indian Meteorological Department in a bulletin here today. The Met said that heavy to very heavy rain is very likely at isolated sections in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar and west Uttar Pradesh during the period. Heavy rain is very likely at isolated divisions in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Uttarakhand, north-east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh and Kerala during the period. As sea is likely to be rough to very rough along and off Kerala and Gujarat coasts and over and around Andaman & Nicobar as well as Lakshadweep Islands, fishermen are advised not to venture into sea over these areas during next 24 hours, warned the Met office. The Southwest Monsoon had been active over Bihar and Uttar Pradesh during past 24 hours.
