Sri Lanka has exported over 58,000 metric tons of fish during the past 21 months after the EU lifted the ban on Sri Lankan fish exports. The country has earned an income of over 92 billion rupees. The number of fish processing industries in the country has increased upto 68 . During the EU ban there were only 34 industries. Tuna, Prawns, Lobsters and Crabs the most popular Sri Lankan variety of exports.
