The Mustadafin Foundation, an NGO actively working with under-resourced communities in the Western and Eastern Cape of South Africa, will host a fundraising event on Saturday, 5 February, in an attempt to source funding to allow them to continue vital work within the communities that they serve.

The event, named ‘Fish with us for a purpose, to feed a mind and feed a belly’, is a fun open fishing competition fundraiser suitable for the whole family.

Prior to Covid-19, Mustadafin fed 15,000 registered beneficiaries daily. The number of beneficiaries has now increased to 27,910. Poverty, hunger and a lack of access to basic resources have increased during the pandemic, and NGOs like the Mustadafin Foundation are forging on to deal with these social disparities.
