Fishing along the western coast is likely to come to a standstill with fishing villages observing a bandh on Tuesday to protest the proposed Rs 65,000 crore Vadhavan port in Dahanu taluka, Palghar. Locals of 10 villages in Dahanu to be affected by the projecta joint venture of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) and Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB)have been protesting this month.
