Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has taken legal measures against fishermen who caught a whale shark in Muscat Governorate.
“The Ministry has followed with interest the incident of the catching of a whale shark in fishermen’s nets in Muscat Governorate. Whale hunting is a punishable violation in accordance with Article (11) of the law, and the Ministry has taken legal measures against the fishermen.” the Ministry said in a statement.
