The Department of Fisheries, GoI is celebrating the glorious 75 years of India’s independence by organizing a series of different events under the ongoing nationwide campaign “AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV”. In this endeavor, the Department aims to showcase the development in the Fisheries Sector and highlight its contribution towards the ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ vision. Under the campaign, the Department of Fisheries is proposed to organize a National Webinar on the “WTO Fisheries Subsidies Agreement”, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, October 21st, 2022, from 11:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs.
In this regard, it is requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the said webinar and invite the members of your association and help in the popularization of the event to the fishers, fish farmers, cooperative societies, and other fisheries stakeholders in your Department/Regional Centers/Krishi Vigyan Kendra(KVKs)/Extension Division/ Subordinate office and Societies, etc.
Further, it is also requested to encourage the officials of your Department/Institute and fish farmers to active participation in making this event a grand success.
