Angolan minister of Fisheries Victoria de Barro Neto Saturday in Luanda urged the staff of the National Audit Research and Aquaculture (SNFPA) for greater strictness, control and efficiency of fishing activities on the seas, rivers and ponds in the country.

The minister, who was speaking at the introduction ceremony of the new State Secretary for Aquaculture, Carlos Filomeno Martins dos Santos, said the intention is to keep progress toward strengthening and diversify the Angolan economy.

The official, who acknowledged existing some constraints, praised the rise of SNFPA from category of Department to National Public Institute.

According to her, this step will help improve the services of the Ministry.

Sworn in to the post of Director General of the National Audit, Research and Aquaculture, Domingos Azevedo and Manuel Jorge Martins as Deputy Director for Operations of National Audit, Research and Aquaculture.

Also sworn in, Arminda Francisco Gaspar Cosme as Deputy Director for Technical and Administrative area of the National Audit, Research and Aquaculture.
