The national credit program for the fisheries and aquaculture sector in Angola was launched today at Bairro dos Pescadores in Cacuaco municipality, Luanda province, by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries, Maria Antonia Nelumba.

At the time, the State secretary stressed the importance of fish for human consumption, food and nutritional security, job security, increased family income and contribution in the fight against hunger and poverty program.

The program will be implemented initially in 36 municipalities of the coastal and inland provinces, where fishing activities recorded more dynamic and benefit grouped fishermen cooperatives or solidarity group of five to six fishermen who live in the same community.
