A new body of the fish farmers’ of the State named All Manipur Fish Farmers’ Association (AMUFFA) has been formed. The new body was formed during a fish farmers’ meeting held today at All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) office at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai.
AMUCO organised the meeting to discuss the issues and welfare activities of fish farmers’ in the State. During the meeting, the problems faced by the fish farmers in the State were discussed in detail. It was resolved during the meeting to take up remedial measures to solve the issues of the fish farmers and to strive earnestly for a self-sufficient State in terms of fish production.
Mayengbam Bimolchand has been appointed as the president of the newly formed body while Tongbram Budhi and Yenkokpam Binodkumar have been appointed as the vice-presidents.
The other office bearers are Chanungnam Bijoy (secretary general); L Ibopishak (secretary finance); Elangbam Ghandharupa (joint secretary); Leimapokpam Akendro (joint secretary); Wahengbam Opendro (joint secretary); Moirangthem Noren (secretary publicity); Sagolsem Romen (assistant publicity secretary) and Waikhom Tikendrajit (assistant publicity secretary).
