Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) has urged fishermen who wish to live in the fishermen’s village on Masirah in South Sharqiyah governorate to register their names.
The initiative aims to provide housing and basic services to support fishermen and stimulate commercial movement.
A statement issued by MAFWR said, ‘The ministry announces that construction work in the fishermen’s village in the wilayat of Masirah will be completed soon. The ministry urges fishermen who wish to live in the village to register their names to benefit from the services that will be provided there.’
