The Bangladesh Navy has rescued 14 fishermen on a fishing boat in the Bay of Bengal, 140 kilometres from Cox’s Bazar.
A fishing boat named “FV Mariam” with 14 men went to the sea on November 16.
Later the engine of the boat failed, stranding the crew in the middle of the sea for eight days.
A patrol ship “Anusondhan” rescued the fishermen in the boat at noon on Friday and handed them over to boat owners in Chittagong on Sunday.
