Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Fiji office in collaboration with the National Marine Biodiversity Institute of Korea hosted a five day training programme last month on Global women’s leadership training programme in marine bio-resources information system.
At the opening ceremony Korean Ambassador to Fiji Young-kyu Park acknowledged the efforts of Fijian Government towards reaching its targeted inoculation rate and preparing Fiji for the new normal.
He said that the Fijian Government’s proactive approach had enabled KOICA to conduct the face-to-face training programme.
The training program aimed to mainstream gender equality into taxonomy, ecology, and repository management, database management and outreach programs which are fundamental elements of the national marine bio resource information system.
