The United Houma Nation’s chief is joining others from Gulf Coast communities devastated by Hurricane Ida in calling for immediate changes to disaster recovery and climate policies.

Houma Nation Chief August “Cocoa” Creppel was among several community leaders who spoke during an online media briefing Thursday sponsored by the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy and other organizations.
