Fisheries Minister Douglas Devananda said steps will be taken to halt importing dry fish to Sri Lanka. The Minister made these remarks when he met the local dry fish producers at his ministry. Devananda has said steps will be taken to provide technical know-how and machinery to the local producers in order to increase the local production. He has said by halting the dry fish import, the government would also be able to save much valued foreign currency.
