Experts from all over the world are in Maine to discuss the global health of fish and shellfish.
About 250 researchers from more than 20 countries are sharing their knowledge at a 4-day conference at Portland’s Holiday in By the Bay.
The second International Conference of Fish & Shellfish Immunology aims to address challenges, and maintain the health of wild and farmed aquatic animals.
The conference is hosted by the University of Maine’s Aquaculture Research Institute.
Scientists say fish and shellfish are an important part of global food security, and learning from each other will help keep fish populations thriving around the world.
