The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, says the ban on illegal fishing nets and other practices are still in force.
Anyone caught violating the regulation risks prosecution.
Speaking to Radio Ghana, the PRO of the Ministry, James Azamesu, said the Ministry has sent notices to remind all fishing net importers that they will not take kindly to violations of the law.
