As many as ten illegal fishing vessels are scheduled to be drowned in several points in the nation on December 31, 2015.

A release from KKP Public Relations Bureau on Thursday, December 31, mentioned that Fishing Eradication Task Force (Satgas 115) will be drowning ten ships for committing illegal fishing.

It is scheduled to be done at 10am or 11am (local time) Thursday simultaneously in four locations.

Those include Belawan (Southern Sumatra, one vessel), Tarempa-Batam (Riau Island, one vessel), Tarakan (Northern Kalimantan, two vesses) and Tahuna (Northern Sulawesi, six vessels).

Meanwhile, the ceremonial drowning process will be done at Satgas 115 Control Room on the 6th floor, Mina Bahari I Building, in the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry office.

Previously, the ministry has added four surveillance vessels (KP) comprising KP Hiu 012, KP Hiu 013, KP Hiu 14, and KP Hiu 15 to reinforce the combating on illegal fishing in Indonesian waters.
