Grimsby was one of the world’s greatest fishing ports, home to a fleet of 600 trawlers in its heyday in the 1950s.
Now many buildings around the port lie derelict. More than 7,000 fishermen were once employed at the port, which supported thousands more jobs in the town.
The decline was due to a combination of factors, only one of which was linked to the common fisheries policy.
