The National Fisheries Society of Spain (SNP, in its acronym) has welcomed the start of 2020’s first fishing season in the central-north zone, with an assigned quota of 2.4 million metric tons, which was authorized by the Ministry of Production.
The president of the fishing union, Cayetana Aljovin, reported that the fishing operations undertaken by the industrial fleet will begin on May 13 and will be carried out in compliance with strict health protocols in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Production.
