21 Sri lankan fishermen the Maldivian Government had detained are scheduled to return to the country tonight. Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Ministry said that as a result of the discussion the Sri Lanka Government held with Maldives, the Maldivian Government had decided to release the fishermen back to Sri Lanka. The Maldivian authorities on February 28th apprehended two multi-day fishing vessels sailing back to Sri Lanka after engaging in fishing in the Arabian Sea along with the fish catch.
