Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (ICAR-CIFT), Visakhapatnam will organise a three-day skill development programme on value addition of fish and fishery products’ from July 30 to August 1. The training programme is sponsored by National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), which is tasked with conservation of natural aquatic resources. Twenty-five participants that include fishers, women and small scale entrepreneurs from Kakinada and Visakhapatnam will participate in hands-on training on the preparation of different value-added products such as fish fingers and cutlets. The programme is being organised to empower the participants to improve livelihood opportunities through value-addition.
