The Punjab Fisheries Department will establish a fish hatchery at Silanwali. Chief Minister Punjab has approved funds Rs 580 million for this project, said a spokesman of the Fisheries department here Friday. He added that the hatchery was being established for promotion of fish farming culture in the area as well as for provision of fish seeds. He said that the main objective of the project was to provide better fish seed and extension services to the fish farmers for the promotion of fisheries sector in the area.
