Out of the 14 films in competition, the jury of professionals and the youth jury have given 8 awards. Golden fish, Africanfish by Thomas grand and Moussa Diop from senegal has done particularly well with three awards. AngryInuk by Alethea Arnaquq-Baril was awarded the prize for long length films by both juries. Ama San by Claudia Varejao (Portugal, Japan) won the Chandrika Sharma award. In the short film category, Il canto del mare by Claudia Neubern from France won the award. Men of foresail by Jean-Paul Mathelier, from France won the jury of professionals award. AngryInuk by Alethea Arnaquq-Baril from Canada won the Youth jury award. The tenth édition has carried on with the will of opening the Festival to various sorts of narration and of film creativity: the fight of the Inuit community to survive, the encounter between an old fisherman and a soprano singer, Norwegian children happy to work for a few days cutting cod tongues and make a little money. These were fictions and documentaries screened among others.
